Why Give Blood?
Every 2 seconds someone in the U.S needs blood. Blood donors help patients of all ages, accident, burn victims, heart surgery, organ transplant patients, and those battling cancer to name a few. Your decision to donate blood can save a life or in some instances, several. In our situation, we were given 2 months with our daughter Mila because of generous donors like you.
Book Drive 2021
MILA Book Drive
Our book drive for 2022 has officially kicked off, in honor of Mila’s 8th birthday. This event will take place right here online! You can order a books from $5.00 to $25.00. Join us on Facebook live as all book donations will be delivered to Texas Children’s Library on August 22, 2022 for Mila’s 8th birthday.
Why Texas Children's Hospital?
Mila lived on this earth for two months. During her short but impactful life, she lived at Texas Children's Hospital, Medical Center. This location is the only home she ever knew. Although we donate to individuals outside of TCH, for Mila's birthday we donate to the only home she ever knew.
Why the Library?
Texas Children's Hospital has an amazing private library. They work with the entire hospital, patients, parents, and siblings, including Child Life Center. Because of the library services, we were able to focus our time at the hospital with Mila. Catherine, the librarian provided Ava (Mila's sibling), a coloring book, DVD, books and much more. We will forever be grateful for the time this gave us with Mila.
With your book donation, you are allowing parent's to focus on their loved one. It is a priceless gift. We are forever grateful for every second we were able to give Mila. For her 8th birthday, we want to give this gift to others.
